What it’s like
A boat trip out to Blakeney Point to watch seals basking and swimming around you in their own habitat.
You get on a boat at Morston and head out through the salt marshes, past the Blakeney Lifeboat Station, to the sandbanks where the seals actually live. They bask, they swim right up alongside, and that's the bit your kids will be talking about on the way home. The whole trip takes about an hour, which feels about right for younger ones who won't sit still much longer than that anyway.
It's £20 for an adult and £10 for a child, with under twos going free, so a family of four is looking at £60 before the booking fee gets added on. Booking's required, and there's a small fee on top of the ticket price, which stings a bit when you're already paying for four seats.
Getting from the car park to the boats involves uneven ground and a narrow bridge, so it's not going to work well if anyone in your party is in a wheelchair. There's parking, toilets, first aid and a café on site.
The cancellation rules are worth knowing before you book. You can change or cancel for free right up until midnight the day before your trip, but after that point there are no changes or refunds at all, so a last-minute change of plan on the morning of the trip will cost you the full price.
