Reading, Book Clubs & Storytime in Nottingham
Storytime here mostly happens at the library, and it costs nothing. Meadows Library, close to the centre, runs free drop-in sessions from Lego building to storytime with no booking needed. Out at Hucknall, the library adds rhyme time for babies alongside craft sessions for kids up to 11 and a crime fiction book club for the grown-ups. Bingham Library goes wider still, covering babies through to school-age kids, and has a café on site for afterwards. None of this needs paying for or booking ahead, which makes it easy to try more than one. Babies and toddlers are best served by rhyme time at Hucknall or Bingham, while older kids might prefer Lego Club or a craft session. If you fancy a proper sit-down after, Bingham's café is the one to head for. Meadows is the simplest option if you just want to turn up.
