Pick-Your-Own & Pumpkin Patches in Newcastle

There's only one pumpkin patch to point you to from Newcastle, but it's a good one. Kinley Hill Pumpkin Patch is out at Seaham, a longer trip out along the coast, and it's got a proper vine-to-basket feel about it: you pick your own pumpkin, then walk it down for a look at the sea before you head home. Pumpkins start from £2, which is decent, though booking's required so don't just turn up on a whim. There's parking and toilets on site, and both card and cash are taken, which isn't always guaranteed at these places. It suits younger children well since the picking itself is gentle going, and the sea view afterwards gives older kids a reason to come too.
