Homework & After-School Clubs in Manchester

After school in Manchester often means someone's got to be picked up, fed and kept busy until you're free, and these two clubs are built for exactly that. Redbrick Academy, about 4 km out from the centre, takes children aged 5 to 15 and shifts from a straightforward pick-up and homework club into a holiday scheme with rock climbing, kayaking and days out to Alton Towers. WMB Cornerstone Day Nursery, known as The Beehive and also around 4 km out, runs from 6 months right up to 11 years old, with football, music and cooking sessions alongside its after-school care. If you've got a baby or toddler as well as a school-age child, The Beehive's age range and indoor and outdoor play space make it the easier fit, and there's food on site plus parking so drop-off isn't a scramble. If your child's after something more active once term ends, Redbrick's climbing and kayaking trips are the ones to book ahead for. Both are close enough to the centre that they shouldn't add much to your day.
