Homework & After-School Clubs in Liverpool
If you need somewhere for the kids to go straight from school, Liverpool has a couple of solid options close to the centre. The Childcare Academy, about 2 km out, is really a nursery with a wraparound club attached, so it suits the under-fives, with a maritime play theme and prices from £7 and halal and vegetarian food options included. Unity Youth & Community Centre, a bit further out at around 3 km, works differently: it runs a Juniors club straight after school and then a separate Seniors session in the evening for older teens. So the choice mostly comes down to age. For babies and preschoolers, The Childcare Academy is the one, with outdoor play space and a low starting price. For school-age children through to young adults, Unity Youth & Community Centre splits its sessions by age, so a five-year-old and a seventeen-year-old are not thrown in together. Neither is far from central Liverpool, so timing pickups around the working day should not be a headache either way.
