Pantomime & Family Theatre in Leicester

Panto season in Leicester has a proper local option in the Peepul Centre, close to the centre, where community casts (with local kids on stage) put on shows like the Enchanted Diwali Tree from £7, and there is free parking for 120 cars if you are driving over. For a bigger stage, Century Theatre out at Coalville does full pantomimes and family shows from £18, set in Snibston Colliery Park with free parking right outside the door. If budget is the main thing, the Peepul Centre wins easily on price and comes with somewhere to eat too. For older kids, Rugby Theatre Society (a drive out to Rugby) runs a Summer Youth Project for 10 to 20 year olds and weaves children's dance into some shows, so it suits families with teenagers as much as little ones. Furthest out is Tamworth Assembly Rooms, a longer trip to Tamworth, but it covers the full range from babes in arms to teens with pantos, films, comedy and music, plus a cafe and accessible toilets on site.
