Tours, Trails & Treasure Hunts in Glasgow

If you fancy seeing Glasgow from the saddle, Glasgow Bike Tours run guided rides close to the centre, taking in the Cathedral, the Necropolis and the University, with bikes and helmets provided so you just need to turn up and book ahead. For something on foot, Mugdock Country Park is a short drive out and gives you a castle ruin, a loch and a toadstool trail to follow, plus old WWII gunsites tucked around the grounds to hunt down. Choosing between them comes down to legs versus feet, really. The bike tour suits families happy to cycle as a group and keen on the city's history, though you will need to book your slot first. Mugdock is the better bet for younger children who want to wander and search for things at their own pace, and there is a cafe and gift shop on site if you need a break or forgot a snack. Wear boots for the gunsites, the ground gets muddy.
