A free touring exhibition at Open Eye Gallery exploring migration, identity and home through photography and museum objects.
New Faces, New Focus: Stories We Share brings together new creative work by artists and community participants alongside objects and artworks from three museum collections across the UK. Developed through residencies in Liverpool City Region, Armagh and Aberdeenshire, the exhibition explores journeys, identity and home through the voices of local communities, including people with lived experience of migration and displacement. Photography, sculpture, textiles and writing created through co-curation with participants sit alongside historic museum pieces that inspired them. The exhibition is on at Open Eye Gallery, 19 Mann Island, Liverpool, open 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Sunday, with entry free. Related displays are also taking place at The Atkinson, Kirkby Gallery and The World of Glass, with Kirkby Gallery also hosting the first UK showing of Comfort Work by Andrii Dostliev and Lia Dostlieva. After Liverpool the exhibition tours to Armagh County Museum and Aberdeenshire Farming Museum in 2027.
