Coding, STEM & Robotics in Edinburgh
If your child would rather build a game than play one, Code Ninjas Edinburgh is the one to know about. It's about three kilometres out from the centre, and it takes children aged 5 to 14 through coding, robotics and a bit of AI, all wrapped up in building actual games rather than sitting through theory. Sessions run after school and on Saturdays, so it fits round the school week without eating into a whole weekend day. There's only the one option listed here at the moment, so the choosing is more about which slot suits your family than picking between venues. Younger children at the lower end of that 5 to 14 range will get more from the after-school sessions, when there's less pressure and more time to potter with an idea, while older kids might prefer settling in for a longer Saturday stretch. Either way, it's indoors, so a wet Edinburgh weekend won't get in the way.
