Adventure Parks & High Ropes in Belfast

Belfast does this with a mix of indoor puzzles and proper outdoor grit. Prison Island in the city centre has thirty one prison-themed cells to crack against the clock, plus axe throwing, from £18 and open to six-year-olds up to adults. Colin Glen has an Alpine Coaster, zipline and high ropes, strictly ages 8 and up, from £15. Out at Antrim, Blair's Castlewood Holiday Park has a 40-obstacle tree top ropes course alongside a play park, for ages 5 and up. For younger children, Mobile Team Adventure runs canoeing, sea kayaking and bushcraft sessions from age 5, and BAC (Belfast Activity Centre) opens caving, climbing and mountain biking from age 8, with entry from £3. If you fancy a longer trip out to Downpatrick, Clearsky Adventure Centre spreads over 800 acres, with archery, mountain biking and a sea safari to spot seals in Strangford Lough. Colin Glen's age limit is worth knowing before you book if you have younger ones in tow.
