What it’s like

A 40-obstacle tree top ropes course and a play park on a holiday park just outside Antrim, for ages 5 and up.

The big draw here is the Tree Top Adventure, a high ropes course with 40 aerial obstacles strung through the trees. It's aimed at ages 5 and up, so it's not one for toddlers, but anyone older who fancies a proper wobble on a rope bridge or a zip between platforms should get their money's worth. There's also a play park on site for a simpler run about before or after.

This is a holiday park in Antrim, and the site fees FAQ they publish (site rent running into thousands a year for holiday home owners) makes clear the main audience is people who own or are staying in a holiday home there. Holiday Park guests get a discount on the ropes course, which is worth knowing if you're staying rather than just visiting for the day.

Opening hours change through the year. From March to October it's open every day, 9am to 5pm, which is the easy window to remember. In January, February, November and December the hours shrink on weekends, and the whole park closes completely for one month, normally from 1st January, reopening on 1st February. Outside that closed month, January itself otherwise runs weekday hours only.

If you're bringing a dog, most breeds are welcome, but Pit Bull Terriers, XL Bullies, Dogo Argentinos, Fila Brasileiros and Japanese Tosas are not admitted under the Dangerous Dogs Act rules they list. There's an accessible toilet and wifi on site, and standard toilets too, useful if you're making a day of the ropes course and the play park together.
