Ice Rinks in Sheffield

Skating in Sheffield mostly means one place, but it's a proper one. Ice Sheffield sits close to the centre and runs public sessions, lessons and hockey on a full size rink, with a bar and restaurant so you're not stood shivering while you watch. Lockers and party rooms are there too, so it doubles up as a birthday venue without much extra faff. If you want to make a real trip of it, there's a longer drive out to Nottingham for Winter Wonderland in Old Market Square. Getting into the site is free, and you can add on skating, Sky Skate or the Observation Wheel once you're there, though those bits do need booking and paying for separately. For most weeks, Ice Sheffield is the easier choice, especially with under-fives, and it's open well beyond the festive season.
