What it’s like
A multi-level soft play frame, a baby-safe corner and a five-a-side sports arena under one roof, open every day 10 till 6.
The big frame is where the school-age crowd will disappear to, with slides, ball pits, rope bridges and tunnels enough to keep a seven-year-old busy while you find a seat with a coffee. Babies and toddlers get their own Wee Ones Zone, soft mats and mirrors and low-level play well away from anyone thundering down a slide. There's also a Sports Arena with a five-a-side pitch, basketball hoops and inflatable punch bags, which is a nice extra if you've got a kid who'd rather kick a ball than climb a net.
Pricing scales with age and day, and it adds up if you've got more than one child. A child over three is £10 at weekends, £9.50 midweek, toddlers a bit less, and babies under six months go free. Adults pay £1.50 but have to stay with their kids throughout, so there's no dropping off and going for a wander round the shops. If you're free on a weekday morning, the Early Riser deal takes 20% off entry between 10 and 10.30am, Monday to Friday, though it's off the table in school holidays.
There's no booking needed, you just walk in any day between 10am and 6pm, which takes the faff out of planning around a toddler's nap schedule. The on-site café does breakfasts, hot rolls and burgers alongside kids' meals at £5.50, with a Halal menu on request and options for allergies. Parking is free and there's a large car park on site, you just log your registration at the front desk when you arrive.
Birthday parties are clearly a big part of what WeePlay does. Both standard packages run two hours with a dedicated party host and a boxed hot meal, squash and ice cream included, and the birthday child gets a free return pass, which is a nice touch. If you want the whole place to yourselves, VIP private hire takes over the venue from 6 to 8pm for £495 on a weeknight, £550 at weekends, for 20 kids.
