What it’s like
A sprawling, self-guided art maze of over 40 surreal spaces, robots and a slide, built for wandering rather than winning.
There's no set route here. You wander through more than 40 built spaces, some of them proper art installations, some of them just odd, and there's a slide and robots to bump into along the way. It's not an escape room in the puzzle-solving sense, it's more of a walk-through world your kids explore at their own pace, doubling back if they want another go at something.
That flexibility is the best bit and the tricky bit. You can be in and out in 45 minutes or lose three hours in there, which is great if your seven-year-old wants to linger but less great if you'd promised yourself a quick visit. Anyone under 16 needs an adult with them the whole time, and a few of the darker rooms with heavy lighting and sound could rattle a sensitive toddler, so it's worth having half an eye on how your youngest is coping rather than assuming they'll breeze every corner.
Pushchairs get left at reception, not because anyone's being fussy but because some of the spaces are genuinely too tight, so babies need to go in a carrier instead. There's a café on site, Junktion, doing meat-free light meals and snacks, though the kitchen only runs midday to half four, so don't turn up starving at five expecting a hot meal. Card only for food and parking, no cash back-up.
Booking ahead is the sensible move rather than optional in practice. Turn up without a slot and you're not guaranteed in, and tickets cost more if you do bag one on the door. Parking on site is limited and pay on exit by card, with the Bristol Fruit Market a five-minute walk away as the overflow if the small car park's full.

Plan your visit
How long should we plan for?
Anywhere from 45 minutes to well over three hours, since it's self-guided and you can take breaks. Younger kids who want to linger at every robot will push you towards the longer end.
Do we need to book?
Pre-booking is strongly encouraged. Walk-ups aren't guaranteed entry and tickets are pricier if you do get one on the day.
Is it suitable for a toddler?
Children of all ages are let in, but some rooms have dark spaces, flashing lights and loud soundscapes that can spook younger or more sensitive kids. Babies need to be in a carrier rather than a pushchair.
Can I bring a pushchair?
Not through the experience itself, some spaces are too small for it. You can leave it safely at reception and collect it on the way out.
Can children go in on their own?
Only over-16s can go in unaccompanied. Anyone younger needs an adult with them throughout.
What's the parking situation?
There's a small on-site car park, £3 for up to three hours then £1 an hour after, card only. If it's full, Bristol Fruit Market nearby does all-day parking for £5.
Is there food on site?
Junktion café bar does meat-free light meals, snacks and drinks, with the kitchen typically running midday to 4pm. You can't bring your own food in, other than baby food.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
Most areas have alternative routes for manual wheelchairs and there's one available to borrow, though mobility scooters aren't allowed. Blue badge parking is limited and first come, first served.
Can we bring our dog?
Assistance dogs only, kept on a lead, with water bowls at the main entrance.
Are there discounts available?
Discounted off-peak tickets are available for students and Blue Light card holders with valid ID, one per person. Carers also go free if supporting someone who needs assistance, with the right documentation.
Do you host birthday parties?
Yes, birthday parties and group bookings are catered for.
