What it’s like

Free entry to a pumpkin picking farm with a maize maze and classic outdoor games, open every day in late October.

This is a pumpkin festival built around a proper maize maze, and the pumpkin picking itself is the bit that'll stick. You wander the patch, choose your own, and there's outdoor games running alongside it if the maze doesn't eat up the whole visit (mazes have a habit of doing that).

It's free to get in, which is the sort of detail that makes you forgive almost anything else. Every weekend in October it's open 10am to 5pm, and from the 23rd through to the 31st it runs those same hours daily, so half term is fully covered. There's no booking system here, you just turn up within those hours.

There's outdoor seating and toilets on site, plus food available if you get there and realise you're all starving after the maze. It's an outdoor day mostly, so wellies over trainers if the weather's been doing anything October-ish.
