What it’s like
An hour of proper inflatable jumping for little ones, with a tots zone for the under-fives and a strict sock rule at the door.
This one's built around a single hour of jumping. Book the Open Session and you're on the main inflatables, or go for Top Tots if you've got a walker up to six years old who'd get lost in the bigger arena. Anyone aged 2 to 4 has to have a full paying adult jumping alongside them, which is fair enough given the size of some of these inflatables, but it does mean you're not sat on the side with a coffee.
Socks are where it gets a bit fussy. You need TopJump socks or similar, and if you haven't got the right pair they'll sell you a set for £3, no swapping for your own antibac ones. Worth remembering before you leave the house, because from what they say about their refund policy, turning up without the right socks and refusing to buy some doesn't end well for your wallet.
An hour costs £10 on the main session or £8 for Top Tots, and you can bolt on a second hour at booking if one hour isn't going to cut it, which with a determined four-year-old it often isn't. There's a café on site and that's the only food you're allowed to eat there, so no smuggling in your own snacks. Lockers are £1 for two hours but it's cash only, so grab a pound coin before you go.
If it's a birthday you're after, parties start from £16 a head on the Bronze package but you need at least 10 children to book one, which rules it out for a small gathering. The party room only opens up five minutes before your jump time ends, so the cake and candles come right at the end rather than as a breather in the middle.
