What it’s like
Private boxes for interactive football games, with foosball and screenings on the side at The O2.
The main event here is football, but not as you'd expect it. You book a private box with your group and play interactive games on a pitch, up to twelve of you at a time, pairing up if there's more than six. There's foosball and arcade games scattered about too, plus live football on screens if you fancy a pint and a watch instead of a game.
It's priced per person rather than per hour, which catches some people out, and it runs from £9 up to £23 depending on the venue, day and how popular the slot is. Your booked time includes five minutes of cleaning up at the end, so the actual playing time is a touch shorter than the slot suggests. Trainers are recommended for the pitch, and light-coloured ones can pick up stains from the turf, so hire a pair from the Boot room for £2 if you'd rather not risk your good ones.
Under-18s are welcome with an adult, though only before 8pm Monday to Saturday (Sunday's fine all day), so this is more of a daytime family outing than an evening one unless it's a Sunday. Food and drink can be pre-ordered as an upgrade when you book, and there's a kids menu called Little Ballers alongside the modern American-style food for the grown-ups. If you're doing a birthday, party packages come with food, drinks and add-ons, and Christmas parties start from £15 a head.
Getting there's easy on the Jubilee line, five minutes' walk from North Greenwich, and The O2's car parks have over 2,100 spaces if you're driving, charged by the hour. Booking's not strictly required but slots do get released a few months ahead and fill up, so it's worth sorting one out if you want a particular time.

Is it OK for kids?
Under-18s can come with an adult, but only before 8pm Monday to Saturday. Sunday they're welcome all day.
What do we wear?
Trainers suitable for football are recommended to avoid injury, and light-coloured shoes can stain from the turf. You can hire trainers from the Boot room for £2.

It depends on your group size, and the slot includes five minutes of cleaning at the end so your actual play time is a little less than booked.
