What it’s like
Roller skating sessions and roller disco parties with an inflatable slide thrown in.
Public skating is split across the week: Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and a shorter Sunday slot, each one running for two hours once you're on the floor. That's the session, and it's long enough to go from wobbling round the edge to actually skating properly by the end of it, which is the bit that makes the whole trip worth it.
Birthday parties are clearly where this place puts its effort. The Gold package at £17.50 a head gets you two hours with a roller disco, skate hire, a meal and the inflatable slide, plus free skating for the adults who come along, which is a nice touch if you're the one stuck holding coats. There's also a Private facility option at £20 a person if you want the place to yourselves, though that needs a minimum of 15 people, and a cheaper self-catering party at £13.50 a head for smaller groups of 8 or more where you bring your own food.
There's a football party too, built around a Champions League trophy experience, so if skating isn't the one for your group there's a second option in the same building. Booking's needed, and given the party minimums it's worth having your headcount roughly sorted before you call.
