A British restaurant with proper booked-table dining and party rooms, useful if you want a sit-down meal out rather than a soft-play scramble.

This is a restaurant first and foremost, serving seasonal British food alongside cask ale, wines and cocktails. There's no play equipment or activity to speak of here, so it suits families who want a proper sit-down meal out rather than somewhere the kids can charge about.

Booking is required, and they're fairly strict about it: your table's held for fifteen minutes past your slot and then let go. If you need to shift the time or cancel, it's all done through the link in your confirmation email rather than a phone call, which is handy if you're managing it from your phone in the car park.

Opening hours run late most of the week, till 11pm Tuesday to Saturday, though Sunday wraps up at 7pm which is worth knowing if a roast is the plan for the end of the weekend. There are party rooms too, so a birthday lunch or a bigger family gathering can be booked in as its own thing separate from the main dining room.

There's indoor seating throughout, which takes the pressure off if the weather turns while you're out.
