What it’s like

A multi-level play frame and a separate baby area on a Stoke farm site, with socks compulsory and your own food banned.

The big draw here is the multi-level adventure play frame, farm-themed so there's a bit of a kinesthetic angle to the climbing rather than just soft blocks and slides. Under-ones get their own dedicated toddler area away from the bigger kids, which matters if you've got a baby who'd otherwise get flattened by a six-year-old barrelling through. It suits the 0 to 10 bracket well, though anyone older than that gets charged as an adult, which feels a bit harsh if your ten-year-old's tall for their age but still wants a go.

Sessions run two hours at busy times, and weekends or school holidays need booking in advance. Term-time Wednesdays to Fridays it's walk-in only, no booking taken, which is actually the easier way in if your week allows it. Socks are compulsory for kids and adults both, and you can't bring your own food in unless it's for a baby, since they run a proper allergy-aware kitchen and skip common allergens like nuts.

Prices sit around £6.50 to £7.95 for a child depending on the day, with adults at £1.50, so a family visit isn't going to break the bank even with two grown-ups in tow. The café does barista coffee, oatcakes and jacket potatoes, with vegetarian and vegan options, and last orders come 45 minutes before the session ends so don't leave lunch too late. Parking's free on site, and there's step-free access throughout plus a wider entrance gate for pushchairs, which is a nice touch if you're wrestling a double buggy through the door.

Birthday parties are on offer too, from £15 a child midweek up to £17.50 at weekends, with food, ice cream and unlimited squash thrown in and two free adult places for the birthday child's family. If you want the whole place to yourselves, exclusive hire is available from £675 for 25 children, worth a look for a bigger celebration.

Plan your visit

How much does it cost?

£6.50 a child on weekdays, rising to £7.95 at weekends and in school holidays. Adults pay £1.50, and babies under 12 months are £2 to £2.50.

Do we need to book?

Only for weekends and school holidays, where it runs on timed two-hour sessions. Term-time Wednesday to Friday is walk-in, no booking taken.

What ages is it suitable for?

0 to 10 years old. Anyone over 10 gets charged the adult rate, so it's not really set up for older siblings to play alongside.

Is there a toddler area?

Yes, a dedicated baby and toddler play area separate from the main multi-level frame.

Can we bring our own food?

Only for babies. They run an allergy-aware kitchen and don't use nuts, so outside food isn't allowed for anyone else.

What's the food situation?

There's an on-site café with barista coffee, oatcakes, sandwiches and jacket potatoes, with vegetarian and vegan options. Last orders are 45 minutes before the session ends.

Is there parking?

Free private car park on site during opening hours.

Do I need to wear anything specific?

Socks are compulsory for both children and adults on the play frames, and pockets need to be emptied before you go on.

Is it wheelchair and pushchair friendly?

Step-free entrance and wheelchair access throughout, plus a wider gate than usual for pushchairs and prams.

How long do sessions last?

Two hours at peak times, with last entry 45 minutes before closing.

Do you do birthday parties?

From £15 a child midweek or £17.50 at weekends, including food, ice cream and unlimited squash. Two adults get in free with the birthday child.

Can we hire the whole place?

Exclusive hire is available, starting from £675 for 25 children, worth asking about for a bigger group.
