The Oast House - Manchester

What it’s like
A big beer garden and street food spot with live music every night, dog friendly until 8pm for the family sitting.
This one's more for the grown-ups with kids in tow than a dedicated kids' venue, but the outdoor seating and casual food set-up make it workable for a family meal out. There's live music on every night, which from what they list sounds like the main draw, so if you've got kids who'll sit through a bit of a band while they eat, it fits nicely. Days out with a toddler who won't sit still might be trickier once the evening sets get going.
The food side is proper street food and roasts rather than a kids' menu as such, plus cocktails and drinks for the adults. Dogs are welcome too, but only until 8pm, so an early tea with the dog and kids works better than a late one. The beer garden is the obvious spot to grab if the weather's playing along, and indoor seating covers you if it isn't.
Opening hours stretch late, particularly Thursday to Saturday when it runs past midnight, but that end of the evening is clearly aimed at the adults rather than families with school-run mornings ahead. Walk-ins are fine most of the time, though booking is recommended if you want the Teepee or you're going near Christmas.
They also do bespoke packages for birthdays, baby showers and graduations, with the Teepee available to book for those. Worth thinking about if you're planning something bigger than a normal meal out, though you'd want to sort the booking well ahead given how popular that sort of thing tends to get.
