The Meadows Pottery
WHERE
Edinburgh
What it’s like
A small shop stacked with handmade bowls, mugs, jugs and teapots to browse and buy, open Tuesday to Saturday.
This one's less about a craft activity and more a browse. The shelves are full of handmade pottery, bowls, mugs, jugs, vases, teapots and decorative pieces, so it suits a slower visit where the kids point at things rather than get their hands covered in clay. If you were expecting a paint-your-own session, this isn't that.
It's open Tuesday to Friday, 10 till 5, and Saturday 10 till 4.30, closed Sundays and Mondays. No booking link is given.
Worth knowing they shut up entirely for what they call a making break from the 1st of September, reopening on the 12th with the usual hours. If you're planning a visit around that time, check the dates line up before you head over, otherwise you'll find the door shut and the pottery elsewhere for a fortnight.
