What it’s like

Live sport on the big screens by day and live music Thursday and Friday nights, with a kitchen open right through the afternoon.

This is more of a place to park yourselves for a few hours than a soft play or a farm, so it suits older kids who'll happily sit through a match on the big screens or don't mind a bit of live music in the background. Live sport plays every day, and Thursdays and Fridays bring live music in the evening, which is worth knowing if you're after something quieter earlier in the week.

The kitchen runs 10am to 9pm daily. The main site opens from 10am and stays open late, until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, though obviously that end of the day isn't one you'll be there for with kids in tow.

If you're thinking about it for a bigger event, they do office Christmas parties and group bookings from 8 guests, with a festive three-course menu or buffet options and drinks packages. That side of things comes with a £10 per person deposit and needs food choices locked in 14 days out, which is a bit of admin for something that's meant to be a treat. Vegetarian, vegan and non-gluten options are all available if you've got a mixed group.

Christmas Eve hours are shorter, 10am to 7pm, and it's shut on Christmas Day itself, so plan around that if you're visiting over the festive period.
