What it’s like
A giant maize maze, a 140m slip and slide and a farm full of rare breeds to meet, with pasties on hand when everyone's worn out.
The maze is the headline act here, a proper giant maize maze that opens daily from late July through September, and it comes with farm admission included so you get the animals, the adventure play area and the giant sandpits thrown in too. There's a bale tower to climb, swings, trampolines and giant games scattered about, plus a sunflower trail if you fancy a wander that doesn't involve getting lost on purpose.
Then there's the slip and slide, 140 metres of it, running through the summer from early July to early September. This is the bit worth booking ahead for and worth turning up early for too, since they want you there half an hour before your slot for the safety briefing. Swimwear is non-negotiable and a wetsuit is a sensible shout even in summer, since sliding on bare skin for an hour sounds like a recipe for friction burns rather than fun. It finishes in a shallow splash zone rather than a deep pool, so nobody needs to be a strong swimmer, and apparently rain just makes it faster, which is either reassuring or slightly alarming depending on your outlook.
A session on the slide is an hour, and if you want both the maze and the slide together it comes to £21 with farm admission included, which stacks up once you add wetsuit hire and slip socks on top. Just the maze with farm entry is £10, a gentler spend if the slide feels like one attraction too many for your day. There's a café on site doing Cornish pasties and a proper cream tea, and picnic spots if you'd rather bring your own.
Beyond the summer maze and slide season, the farm runs its own calendar: Spring Fest in April, pumpkin picking from October, a torchlit evening in September and a Halloween maze of horrors at the end of October. Worth timing a visit around one of those if you want more than the regular farm and maze combination.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
Maze with farm admission is £10. Add the slip and slide and it's £21, or the slide alone with farm entry is £13.50.
Do we need to book?
Booking online ahead is strongly recommended for the slip and slide to get your time slot. The maze and farm don't need the same advance planning.
Is there an age limit for the slip and slide?
No age limit, but under-4s need a paying adult on the slide with them.
What do we wear on the slide?
Swimwear is essential, and a wetsuit is worth hiring for £3 an hour to avoid friction burns and stay warm. Anti slip socks are strongly recommended too, at £1.50 a pair.
Do you need to be a confident swimmer?
The slide ends in a shallow splash zone rather than a deep pool.
What happens if it rains?
The slide stays open in the rain, they say it just makes it faster. It only closes for severe weather or lightning.
How long does a slide session last?
An hour, but you need to arrive 30 minutes before your slot for the safety briefing.
When is the maize maze open?
Daily from 25 July through September, 10:30am to 5pm.
When does the slip and slide run?
Saturdays through Sundays from 4 July to 6 September, 10:30am to 5pm.
Is there food on site?
A café serves Cornish pasties and cream tea, and there's a picnic area if you bring your own.
Can I just watch instead of sliding?
Spectator tickets are £5, covering farm entry and slide viewing.
