What it’s like

A drop-in studio for pottery, mosaics, candle making and marbling, with a fixed weekly timetable of workshops.

This one's built around a rota rather than a free-for-all. There's Hand Building Pottery on Tuesdays at 7pm, Candle Making on Wednesdays at 7pm and again Saturdays at 2pm, Marbling on Thursdays at 7pm, and Mosaic on Saturday mornings from 10am. Lino Printing and Terrarium Workshop turn up too, alongside straightforward Drop In Painting if you'd rather not commit to a class time. Fridays from 7pm it switches to Sip and Paint, which tells you this isn't purely a kids' spot after dark.

The weekly rota is the thing to actually plan around here. If your child's set on the candle making, that's a Wednesday evening or Saturday afternoon fixture, not a walk-in-whenever option, so you'd want to build the day round it rather than the other way round. Opening hours stretch late, 10pm Thursday to Saturday, which is generous for an evening session but obviously not when you're bringing a toddler.

It's run by Louis and Sophie, who opened in October 2025 with the idea of an inclusive, creative space, and that shows in how open-ended the "who's it for" answer is on their site. There's a bar doing wine, beer and soft drinks, which again points to it doing double duty as an evening-out venue as much as a kids' craft stop.

Birthday parties are on offer too. They'll build one around whichever workshop you fancy and sort drinks and snacks, and they're happy for you to bring your own cake along.

Need to know

Parties
Birthday parties and celebrations available
  • The named workshops (pottery, candle making, marbling, mosaic) each have one fixed weekly slot, not daily availability
  • Friday evenings from 7pm shift into Sip and Paint, an adult-leaning session
  • There's a bar on site serving wine, beer and soft drinks
  • Studio opened in October 2025, so it's a newer addition to the local craft scene

Plan your visit

What workshops actually run, and when?

There's a set weekly rota: Hand Building Pottery Tuesdays 7pm, Candle Making Wednesdays 7pm and Saturdays 2pm, Marbling Thursdays 7pm, Mosaic Saturdays 10am, plus Lino Printing, Terrarium Workshop and Drop In Painting on rotation.

Can we just turn up?

Drop In Painting is the walk-in option. The named classes like pottery or candle making run at fixed weekly slots, so it's more of a booking service for those.

Do you do birthday parties?

Yes, they'll put together a party around any of the art workshops and sort drinks and snacks. You're welcome to bring your own cake.

Is there anything for grown-ups too?

Friday nights from 7pm are Sip and Paint, and there's a bar with wine, beer and soft drinks, so it works as an evening out as well as a daytime craft session.

What are the opening hours?

Monday to Wednesday 11am to 9pm, Thursday to Saturday 11am to 10pm, and Sunday 11am to 6pm.
