What it’s like
Soft play climbing and tunnels next to a bowling lane, with birthday parties built around both.
Two things going on under one roof here. The Stomp side is your standard climb, slide and tunnel soft play, the kind that swallows an hour without you noticing. Next to it is Strike, a set of ten pin bowling lanes, which is the bit that makes this different from a straightforward soft play barn.
Parties are clearly where the effort's gone. A Stomp party gets you an hour and a half of soft play plus food, a Strike party swaps that for an hour of bowling plus food, and the Ultimate party splits it 45 minutes apiece across both activities before you sit down to eat. All three start at £16.50 a head, with the Ultimate a touch more at £17.90, and every one comes with a meet and greet from the mascot, which is either the best bit or the bit you brace for depending on your child. Parties run Wednesday to Sunday between 10am and 4:30pm, and they want a minimum of eight children, so this isn't really built for a spontaneous small gathering.
Food comes from an all-American diner setup, with freshly prepared party food and a Little League Mains menu for party bookings that throws in unlimited squash. Outside of parties, general opening is Wednesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm, Friday and Saturday 10am to 9pm. Worth flagging that Stompers is closed Mondays and Tuesdays until October half term, so those two days are off the table for a good chunk of the year.
