What it’s like

Quranic and Arabic classes, a youth club and sports sessions for children, plus talks and conferences for the adults who bring them.

If you're after a weekly class for your child rather than a one-off afternoon out, this is the sort of place that's built around that: Quranic and Arabic teaching for children and adults, a Madrasah called Al Falah, and lessons in the Islamic sciences running alongside. The youth club and the sports sessions sit next to all of it, and the centre frames the youth work as building them physically, mentally and spiritually. Whether any of it lands on a given week is worth asking about in person rather than guessing from a list.

The adult side is real too. Guest scholars give lectures, there are seasonal conferences, and at Eid al Adha 1447 on Wednesday 27 May 2026 they're running prayers at 5:30am, 6:30am, 8am, 9am and 10am, which is a serious spread of slots if you've got small children who won't be roused at half five. Ramadhan brings its own prayers and activities. Friday Jum'uah is 12.45pm Bayan, 1.15pm Adhan, 1.30pm Arabic Khutbah and prayers.

Getting there is easier than the car. It's a 7 to 10 minute walk from Harrow & Wealdstone station and from Wealdstone High Street, and buses 140, 182, 186, 258, 340, 640 and H9 stop on the High Street. Drive and you've got limited spaces at the centre itself, with more on the surrounding streets.

There's an Islamic book shop on site, and a health clinic with health care advice as well. The Foodbank opens Sundays 2pm to 4pm as a distribution and collection point with HelpHarrow.

Parking
Limited spaces at the centre, more on nearby streets
Getting there by bus or train
7-10 min walk from Harrow & Wealdstone station
  • Walk it if you can: the station and the High Street are both 7 to 10 minutes away, and the centre's car park is small
  • Eid al Adha 1447 prayers on Wednesday 27 May 2026 run across five times, from 5:30am to 10am
  • The book shop and the health clinic are both on site, so a class trip can double up
  • School and group visits are listed, so a class or group can arrange something rather than turning up

Plan your visit

What time is Friday Jum'uah prayer?

12.45pm for the Bayan, 1.15pm Adhan, 1.20pm announcements, then the Arabic Khutbah and prayers at 1.30pm.

What times are Eid prayers?

For Eid al Adha 1447 on Wednesday 27 May 2026 they've got 5:30am, 6:30am, 8am, 9am and 10am. Five slots, so nobody's stuck with the earliest one.

Is there parking?

Limited spaces in the centre's car park, and more on the streets around. With the station and the High Street both a short walk away, leaving the car at home is the easier call.

How do I get there by bus or train?

The 140, 182, 186, 258, 340, 640 and H9 all stop on Wealdstone High Street, and it's 7 to 10 minutes on foot from Harrow & Wealdstone station.

What do children actually do there?

Quranic and Arabic classes, the Al Falah Madrasah, a youth club and regular sports sessions. The centre describes the youth programmes as strengthening them physically, mentally and spiritually.

When is the Foodbank open?

Sundays, 2pm to 4pm, at the centre. It's a distribution and collection point run with HelpHarrow at Harrow Council.

Is there anything on site to buy or use while we're there?

There's an Islamic book shop, and a health clinic with health care advice.
