What it’s like

Kids crawl through tunnels and dodge lasers on a guided spy mission to outwit Agent Malice.

This is a proper mission, not just a room with clues on the wall. Kids climb through tunnels, weave between lasers and work through puzzles with a guide running the story alongside them, all built around a plot where Agent Malice has seized a Battle Cruiser and someone needs to sort it out. It suits the 6 to 13 bracket well; young enough that a six-year-old can still follow the story with help, old enough that a thirteen-year-old won't feel babied by it.

Everything's indoors, so a grey Saturday doesn't change your plans, and there's a café on site for food afterwards. Booking's required rather than optional, which makes sense once you picture a laser course with a guide timing the mission, but it does mean you can't just turn up on a whim if a free afternoon appears.

Birthday parties get a full hour on the mission plus freshly cooked food and drinks in the café afterwards, all themed around the same Battle Cruiser story, and food only gets ordered once you're actually there rather than in advance. Parking's easy too: nine free spaces on site and roadside parking close by if those fill up, so that's one less thing to think about on the day.
