What it’s like

Axe throwing, mini golf and shuffleboard under one roof, with under-18s welcome before 7pm alongside the adults.

You come here for the daft competitive stuff: augmented reality axe throwing and darts, crazier golf, shuffleboard, beer pong and a private karaoke pod if you fancy embarrassing yourself in private rather than public. It's built for groups, so a family of four or a work do of ten both fit the format fine, and the games rotate between silly and genuinely competitive depending on who you bring.

The catch, and it's a proper one, is the 7pm watershed. Before that, under-18s are welcome as long as an adult's with them; after 7pm it's strictly over-18s only, which makes this an early-evening or weekend-afternoon trip if you've got children with you rather than a Friday night one. The £27.50 BOOM Bundle bundles a game with food and drinks, which is the easiest way to do a first visit without totting up separate costs, though shuffleboard on its own is a more modest £3 if you just want to dip in.

Walk-ins are fine for getting through the door, but if you actually want to play something rather than just eat and drink, book ahead. They're honest that walk-in game slots aren't guaranteed, and bookings are non-refundable, so it's worth being sure of your slot before you pay. It's card only throughout, no cash, and there's a street food menu with burgers and small plates alongside the mocktails for anyone not drinking.

Parking's a short walk away in the Castle Quarter car park, or it's about ten minutes on foot from Norwich station if you're coming by train. Birthday parties get a proper perk here: the birthday person goes free in groups of six to ten or more, which takes the sting out of organising one.
