What it’s like
A slow, gently rotating hot air balloon ride over Peppa Pig World, calm enough for a baby in arms and tall enough for a proper view.
This one's not a thrill ride, it's a lift. The balloon rotates gently as it rises, giving you a look down over the rest of Peppa Pig World before it settles back down. There's no height restriction, so it's less about how tall your kid is and more about how steady they are, since there's no restraint in the gondola beyond the locked door.
Babies can go on held in arms, but the ride isn't suitable for under 12 months, and anyone with vertigo, Meniere's disease or a wobbly stomach on rotating rides should sit this one out. Pregnant women are advised against it too. It's a short, calm ride rather than a big one, so don't build the whole visit around it, but it's a nice change of pace between the bigger stuff.
Four adults fit in a gondola, or two adults and three children, and one grown-up can bring up to four kids who aren't old enough to ride solo. Under-8s need an adult with them regardless. Wheelchairs can get right up to the gondola with a hand from staff, though there's one step to manage getting in and out, and there's a queue assist entrance if you need it.
Parking on site is free, which takes the sting out of driving over. If you're coming without a car, the X7 bus stops at the Ower Vine Inn a five to ten minute walk from the park, or it's a taxi from Southampton Central, about ten to fifteen minutes away.

Plan your visit
Is there a height limit for the balloon ride?
No height limit, it's more about being steady enough to sit still since there's no restraint in the gondola. Babies under 12 months can't ride even held in arms.
Can a toddler go on with us?
As long as they're over 12 months they can sit on an adult's lap. Under-8s need to have a responsible adult with them in the gondola.
How many people fit in one balloon?
Four adults, or two adults and three children. One adult can bring up to four kids who need supervision, as long as they're all in the same balloon.
Is it wheelchair friendly?
Wheelchairs can be wheeled right up to the gondola and staff will help you board. There's one step in and out, and a queue assist entrance if the main queue is a squeeze.
What if someone has vertigo or is pregnant?
Best to skip this one. Pregnant riders, anyone with vertigo or Meniere's, or recent surgery, high blood pressure or heart conditions are all advised against it.
