What it’s like
Every ticket is £7.59, and there are weekly screenings built for parents with babies or autistic kids.
One flat price for every seat, £7.59, no faff with peak or off-peak. Add a pound if you want the 3D version. That price alone makes it worth a look if you've got more than one kid to sit through a film with, since cinema trips can otherwise wreck a weekend budget fast.
The screenings worth knowing about are the specialist ones. Watch with Baby sessions run in term time for parents with children under a year old, and they throw in tea and biscuits, which is a nice touch when you're the one who hasn't slept properly in months. There are also hearing impaired screenings weekly and an autism friendly one once a month, so if a standard screening with the lights down and the volume up isn't going to work for your child, there's an alternative built in.
Babies-in-arms get in free to U and PG films before 6pm, though that's down to the manager's discretion on the day, so don't bank on it. One rule to watch: they won't let you in once you're 30 minutes past the start of the performance, so turning up fashionably late isn't an option here. Doors are open long hours, 11am to midnight every day, which gives you room to pick a quieter slot if you're bringing a toddler who might not sit still for the trailers.
It's an indoor venue with wheelchair access and toilets on site, and while advance booking isn't compulsory, they do say it gets busy, so booking ahead saves you queuing with a fractious kid at the till.
