What it’s like

Sofa seats, food brought to you, and baby and toddler screenings where nobody minds if your one-year-old kicks off.

This one's a proper sit-down cinema, not the fold-up-seat kind, with a menu that comes to you rather than a pick-and-mix on the way in. Burgers, pizzas, a glass of wine if you fancy it, all brought to your seat, though they're strict that it has to be their food, nothing smuggled in from the shops.

For the little ones there's Baby Club for under-12-months, sound turned down and the lights kept soft, and your ticket gets you a hot drink and cake thrown in. Toddler Club covers ages one to five on the same reduced-noise basis, and one ticket there does for both the adult and the child, which is a nice touch when everything else about a cinema trip costs twice what you expect. Outside of those clubs, babies under a year can still get into any U or PG before 5pm free, but after that they're not allowed in, and fair enough really, a regular evening screening is loud and a crying baby in the middle of Row F helps nobody.

In the school holidays there's Family Film Club too, with half off child tickets and no cap on how many kids in your group get the discount, which is the one to look out for if you've got more than one in tow. Booking isn't compulsory and you can just turn up to the box office, though they'd rather you booked online to avoid missing out, and there's a £2.50 fee for doing it that way unless you're a member. Whatever you book, know that it's non-refundable, and if your plans change you've got to ask for an amend at least 24 hours out or you're stuck with it.

Getting there by car, Canary Wharf has four car parks nearby with disabled and parent spaces, and there's three hours free at weekends if you spend £10 or more and get your ticket validated at the cinema. Lift access takes you straight to the cinema floor, and each screen has a wheelchair space in the front row, with CEA Card companions going in free.

Plan your visit

How much are tickets?

It depends on the day, time and what's on, 3D costs a bit more on top. Best to check the specific screening when you book.

Do we need to book ahead?

Nope, you can just rock up to the box office. They'd rather you booked though, and there's a £2.50 fee if you do it online unless you're a member.

Can I bring my baby to a normal screening?

Under 12 months gets in free to any U or PG before 5pm. After 5pm babies aren't allowed in, and the sound at a regular showing really isn't built for tiny ears anyway.

What's Baby Club and Toddler Club actually like?

Sound turned right down, lights kept low, and a hot drink and cake or popcorn comes with your ticket. Toddler Club is ages one to five and one ticket covers both the adult and the child.

Can we bring our own snacks?

Afraid not, it's cinema food and drink only, no smuggling in your own crisps.

What if I need to change or cancel a booking?

Cancellations aren't refunded full stop. You can sometimes swap it if you ask more than 24 hours before the film, but leave it later than that and you're out of luck.
