What it’s like

Soft play for babies through to eight-year-olds, with a Monday morning quiet session and Nerf War Arena parties if you fancy something noisier.

This one covers a proper stretch of ages: soft play built for babies right up through to eight-year-olds, so you're not dragging a toddler away from a frame built for someone twice their size. Under 1s get in for £2, which is basically a courtesy charge, while everyone from 1 to 3 is £6 and the 4-plus crowd is £6.50.

If mornings with a toddler are a gamble, Monday 9:30 to 11:30am is a quiet, ALN-friendly session and it needs pre-booking, unlike the rest of the week where you can just turn up. Every other day runs 9:30am to 5:30pm.

Birthdays are where it gets interesting. There are three party rooms to pick from: Party, Neon and a Nerf War Arena, the last of which gets you an hour of actual Nerf combat plus soft play afterwards, from £300. The Superhero party (also from £300) throws in a meet and greet with skills training games, which sounds like exactly the sort of thing an eight-year-old would talk about for weeks. Standard Party and Neon themes start at £200.

The café does proper kids' meals rather than just crisps and a biscuit, fish fingers, nuggets, sausage or a veggie option with sides, plus toasties and jacket potatoes if the adults want something too. Parking's free on site round the back, you just pop your registration in at reception, and there's a bus stop a minute's walk away if you're coming without a car.
