What it’s like
A miniature role play town with a café, farm shop and construction yard for kids to run their own little world.
Instead of a frame full of slides, you get a small town built for pretend play. Kids can serve coffee in the café corner, stack crates in the farm shop, or pull on a hard hat in the construction yard, and most of it runs on their own imagination rather than a set of rules. There's a guided craft activity too, which is a nice change if you've got a child who needs a bit of direction between bursts of free play.
It suits the toddler-to-school-age crowd best, roughly one to eight, though the site's clear that siblings of any age can hang about in the café while the little ones play. Sessions run for two hours, which feels about right before a small child's imagination (and yours) starts to flag. Booking's recommended rather than compulsory, and they say walk-ins are welcome when there's space, but with two-hour slots that can fill fast, I'd book if you've got your heart set on a particular time.
The café's the other half of the appeal here. It's run to the same standard as Bean & Bread, so you're looking at proper coffee and homemade treats rather than reheated nuggets, and there are dairy-free, vegan and gluten-free options if you flag allergies when you book. There's a buggy park just inside the door too.
If you're planning a birthday, they do private use of the town with styled party tables and optional catering from the café, which sounds like one less thing to organise on the day.
