What it’s like
Sing-along films under the stars on a giant screen with proper cinema sound, picnic and camping chairs in tow.
You bring the blankets and camping chairs, they bring the giant screen and cinema sound, and the film is the sing-along kind that doesn't mind if the whole crowd joins in. It's an outdoor event rather than a sit-quietly cinema trip, so a fidgety toddler is less of a disaster than it would be indoors.
Under 3s go free, which is a nice touch given a child ticket is £10 and an adult £15 otherwise. The family ticket at £35 for two adults and two children works out cheaper if you're not bringing a baby. Bring your own picnic and drinks, just leave the glass bottles at home, and pack proper layers because evening shows get cold even when the site's own weather stats sound reassuring.
Seating is bring-your-own camping chairs or blankets, though summer screenings let you upgrade to VIP or Comfy Plus if you'd rather not sit on the ground. That upgrade isn't on offer at the Halloween screenings, which feels like a small downgrade if you'd been planning on it. Parking and toilets, including an accessible one, are on site at every venue.
