What it’s like

Printmaking classes and a small gallery of print exhibitions, open just a few hours a week.

This is a print workshop and gallery, so the main things going on are printmaking classes and whatever's on the walls that month. There are exhibitions to wander round, and they also run printmaking classes if you fancy having a go yourself rather than just looking. School groups visit too, which tells you it's set up for hands-on learning rather than being a look-don't-touch sort of gallery.

The gallery itself only opens Thursday to Saturday, 12 noon till 3pm, which is a narrow window and easy to miss if you're planning a day around it. The site is upfront that opening times can be unpredictable beyond that, so it's not somewhere to just turn up on spec expecting the doors to be open. If you want a proper visit, or you're thinking about a class, contacting them ahead to check or arrange a time is the way to go.

It's wheelchair accessible, which is useful to know if that's a factor in where you head. Beyond that, there isn't much to go on for things like cost or exact ages the classes suit.

Need to know

Booking
Gallery opening times are variable
  • Opening hours are genuinely limited: Thursday to Saturday, 12noon to 3pm only.
  • The site itself flags that times can be unpredictable, so double check before setting off.
  • You can arrange a special visit outside normal hours if you get in touch first.

Plan your visit

When is the gallery open?

Thursday to Saturday, 12noon to 3pm. It's a short window, so plan around it rather than assuming you can drop in anytime.

Do we need to book?

There's no booking link, but opening times are variable, so contacting them before you go to check they're open, or to arrange a visit, is sensible.

What do kids actually do there?

Printmaking classes and looking round the gallery exhibitions. School groups visit too, so it's set up for hands-on activity as well as viewing.

Is it accessible?

Yes, it's listed as wheelchair accessible.
