What it’s like
Warped Wall climbs, swinging obstacles and an inflatable course for kids five and up who fancy themselves as ninjas.
This is the one with the Warped Wall, the curved ramp off the telly that everyone wants a go at, and it's saved for the bit where your kid has already warmed up on the climbing and balance obstacles. There's an inflatable course too, though you'll need the reusable safety socks for that one, bought on the day if you haven't got a pair already. Minimum age is five, and anyone under eight needs an adult with them on the course, so this isn't one for the toddler crowd, they get their own separate sessions instead.
Book ahead. They say it online and they mean it, since pre-booking gets you the better price and sorting the waiver in advance saves standing about at reception. Turn up thirty minutes early too, for wristbands and the safety briefing, and if you're late they won't extend your session or let you rebook the missing time, which feels a bit harsh but is at least clear from the start.
It's a cashless venue, card only, and the same goes for the café, since outside food and drink aren't allowed in at all. That's more of a faff if you were planning a packed lunch, but the café sits on a raised viewing area so anyone not bouncing can watch from up there with a coffee. Parking's free with 725 spaces, which is generous for this kind of venue, and there are free lockers for shoes and bags, though they're clear that valuables shouldn't go on the course with you.
Weekday afternoons in term time are the quiet option, particularly before 4pm, while weekends open earlier at 9.30am and run later. There's a first-Saturday SEN session each month with lower numbers and a free carer place, and a monthly adults-only evening on the first Thursday if you fancy having a go yourself.

How old do kids need to be?
Five is the minimum age, and under-eights need a parent or guardian with them on site. There's no upper age limit.
Do we need to book in advance?
Pre-booking online or by phone is the way to go, it gets you the better price and means the waiver's sorted before you arrive.
How early should we get there?
Thirty minutes before your session, for check-in, wristbands and the safety briefing. Turn up late and you can't make the time up or rebook it.
Is there parking?
Free on-site parking with 725 spaces.
Can we bring our own food?
No, only café purchases can be eaten on-site. It's there to protect guests with food allergies.
What do we do with our belongings?
Free lockers are provided for shoes and bags. Leave valuables at home, they won't take responsibility for anything lost or stolen.
Do we need to buy special socks?
Reusable Ninja Warrior UK safety socks are required on the inflatable course, and you can buy them online or at reception.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
Reception has lift access and there's a viewing area on the same level as the activities, plus accessible toilets. Table service from the café is available on request.
Does a parent need to stay?
If your child is under 12, a parent or guardian needs to be on site the whole time.
When's the quietest time to go?
Midweek term time sessions, especially before 4pm, tend to be calmer. There's also an adults-only session on the first Thursday of the month, 7 to 8pm.
Do you do birthday parties?
Three packages running from £22.95 to £32.95 per person, each with an hour of activity, party food and socks included. Minimum ten people, and the cheapest package only runs Monday to Thursday in term time.
