What it’s like
An over-16s golf centre in Morpeth with a driving range, a full course, crazy putt and FootGolf.
This one's for the grown-ups and older teenagers only, the site sets the age limit at 16, so leave the younger kids with someone else and treat it as your own outing. There's a proper driving range to hit balls on, a golf course if you want to play a full round, and a Golf Academy if you fancy sorting your swing out rather than just guessing.
If straight golf isn't your thing there's Crazy Putt for something a bit sillier, and FootGolf, which is exactly what it sounds like: booting a football round a course instead of chipping a ball. It's a good way to mix a golf trip with mates who'd otherwise say no to eighteen holes of the real thing.
Hours are generous. Weekdays it's open from 9am right up to 10pm, so an after-work round or a late driving range session both work. Weekends it's 8am to 8pm, which suits an early start before the day gets busy. There's a café on site for a coffee or a bite between the range and the course.
