What it’s like

A 13,000 sq ft soft play with a separate Game Zone of bumper cars, tea cups and an assault course.

The soft play itself sprawls over 13,000 square feet, plenty of climbing and sliding to wear a child out before lunch. But the bit that'll actually get talked about in the car home is the Game Zone: inflatable bumper cars, spinning tea cups, a Ladybird ride, a Chair-o-Plane and an inflatable assault course all sitting alongside the usual frames. Save that section for when the main soft play stops being exciting, because it will keep them going a fair while longer.

There's a toddler area and a separate baby play area, so a two-year-old isn't getting mown down by someone's seven-year-old mid-assault-course. A Sensory Room is also listed, aimed at babies and children with disabilities, which is a nice touch most soft play centres don't bother with.

You don't need to book for a normal visit, just turn up and pay at reception, which takes the faff out of a rainy Tuesday decision. Parties are a different matter: packages start at £129.99 for ten children on the Nugget package, going up to £199.99 for All Inclusive, and each covers 1 hour 45 minutes of play plus food, unlimited drinks and a party host. Extra children beyond the ten cost £12.99 each on the Nugget package, and if you want the whole venue to yourselves that's £450.

There's a café and restaurant on site with a kids' menu, so you're not relying on a vending machine for lunch. Between the soft play, the rides and the food on site, you could reasonably lose most of a morning or afternoon here without needing to go anywhere else.
