What it’s like

An outdoor adventure park with high ropes, giant swings, lake rafts and a three-storey jump onto an airbag.

This is the big outdoor stuff: a two-tier high ropes course, giant swings, an assault course and a tower jump where you climb three storeys and leap onto an airbag. There's also a quieter side to it, den building in the woodland, a sandpit with actual excavation kit, adventure golf and lake rafts you paddle across open water. Archery and soft axe throwing are in there too, so it's not short on things to try.

It's built for older kids. Under 3s aren't catered for and under 6s may get turned away from some activities on height or safety grounds, so this isn't the spot for a family with a toddler in tow and a six-year-old who wants everything. The high ropes course alone has a minimum height of 4.2 foot and a max weight of 20 stone, and you can't pre-book it as part of a normal two-hour session, you either buy the all-day ticket or take your chances on the day. That's worth knowing before you plan around it.

Footwear is strict: closed-toe and supportive, so no sandals, no crocs, and pockets need emptying and jewellery needs to come off before you're allowed on the equipment. You can bring your own food and eat it at the picnic benches outside, but nothing from external fast food outlets and no alcohol or glass. Parking is free with 600 spaces, though they're clear that cars are left at your own risk and everything has to be off site once the gates lock.

Rain doesn't shut the place, but it can shut individual rides while equipment gets checked and dried, and if the high ropes, tower jump or adventure golf are down for more than two hours you get a discount voucher for next time. Proper storms, snow or high winds and they'll close the whole park and sort refunds or rebookings.

Plan your visit

What age is this suitable for?

Anyone under 18 needs an adult with them. Under 3s aren't allowed on activities at all, and under 6s may be stopped from some of them on height or safety grounds.

Do we need to book in advance?

They recommend it to guarantee your spot. Turning up without a booking works if there's space on the day, but it's not guaranteed.

How does the high ropes course work?

You can't add it to a standard two-hour session in advance. You need an all-day ticket or to grab same-day availability, and it runs on timed slots once you're booked in.

Are there height or weight limits?

Yes, on the high ropes specifically: minimum 4.2 foot, maximum 6.3 foot, and a weight limit of 20 stone. Minimum age for that one is 6.

Can we bring a picnic?

Bring your own food and drink and eat it at the picnic benches outside. No food from external takeaways though, and no alcohol, glass or barbecues.

What should the kids wear?

Closed-toe, supportive footwear is a must, so no sandals or crocs. Jewellery comes off and pockets need to be empty before getting on the equipment.

Is it open if it rains?

It stays open in rain but some activities may close temporarily while they check and dry equipment. If the high ropes, tower jump or adventure golf are shut for more than two hours you get a 50% discount voucher for next time.

What happens in really bad weather?

Severe weather like snow, ice, thunderstorms or strong winds can mean the whole park closes, in which case they issue refunds or move your booking to another date.

Is there parking?

600 free spaces, including 28 disabled access ones. Cars are left at your own risk and need to be off site once the park closes and the gates lock.

Is it accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs?

Wheelchair accessible throughout, with a lift to Pizza Base and a Changing Places facility with a hoist. Prams and strollers are fine and are actually the only transport device allowed in the park.

Can we do a birthday party or group visit here?

Both are on offer. Group bookings need contacting the team directly to sort out.
