What it’s like
Free roam VR shootouts, escape rooms and a Quest Arena for kids eight and up, starting at £10 a head.
This is full headset VR, not the sit-down kind. Zero Latency puts a group in a warehouse-sized space to walk around and shoot at whatever's chasing them, and it runs about 45 minutes for £20 upwards. If your eight-year-old is more into shorter bursts, the Quest Arena is £10 for 15 minutes and covers a few different games, which is the easier one to try first before committing to the longer sessions.
The VR escape rooms are the other big draw, £55 for two players or £90 for four, so it's worth going as a group to bring the per-head cost down. Age limits matter here more than most places: Quest Arena is 8+, most escape rooms are 12+, and some Zero Latency titles need players to be 10 or even 16. Under-14s need an adult actually in the venue, not just dropped at the door, so factor that into your afternoon.
You'll want to arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and the safety briefing, and sessions run back-to-back, so turning up late eats into your time rather than pushing the whole thing back. Everyone needs full use of both hands and the ability to walk unassisted for half an hour, which rules out some medical situations, and not every venue is set up for wheelchair users without a special session booked in advance. Parking in Manchester is free on-site, which takes one thing off the list.
Birthday parties start from £29.95 a head for up to eight kids, with exclusive arena time and rotating slots every 30 minutes plus a go on the Console Zone. Cancel within two weeks and you lose half the fee, within a week you lose the lot, so book the date you actually mean and not a placeholder.

How much does it cost?
Zero Latency starts at £20 a person for a 45-minute session. VR escape rooms are £55 for two players or £90 for four. Quest Arena is £10 for 15 minutes.
What age is it suitable for?
Quest Arena is 8 and up. Most escape rooms are 12+, with some 10+ and horror ones 16+. Zero Latency varies by game, from 10+ up to 16+ for Far Cry VR.
Do we need to book in advance?
Yes, and you'll want to arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and the safety briefing. Sessions are booked back-to-back so late arrivals lose time.
Do parents need to stay?
Under-14s must have an adult present in the venue. Over-14s can play without a parent in the room, but the site suggests staying nearby.
Is there parking?
Free on-site parking at the Manchester venue.
Can wheelchair users take part?
Not every venue is wheelchair accessible, so special sessions need to be arranged for wheelchair users.
What if we need to cancel?
Cancelling within 14 days costs half the fee, and within 7 days you forfeit the whole amount. Refunds generally do not apply, though credits are sometimes offered.
Do you do birthday parties?
Packages start from £29.95 per head for up to 8 people, with exclusive arena access, team rotations every 30 minutes and time in the Console Zone.
