What it’s like
Outdoor bootcamp training with ex-military instructors, running in early mornings and evenings, strictly over-16s only.
This is an adults-only bootcamp, open to over-16s, so there's no session here for younger kids to join in with. Expect military-style training using non-traditional equipment, running club sessions, and workouts that mix mobility, resistance and stretching.
Sessions run for 60 minutes, warm up and cool down included. The timetable is early mornings or evenings, think 9 to 10am or half six in the evening, which suits people fitting training around work rather than a lazy Sunday lie-in. They train outdoors year round and say the ex-military instructors adjust sessions for whatever conditions turn up, rain included, so don't expect a rain check text.
You don't need to bring your own kit unless you want to, all equipment is provided. Turn up in trainers and workout clothes with water and a towel, and hand your car keys to the instructor at the start, who carries them for the session. There's free parking, which is one less thing to think about before an early start.
