What it’s like
An 18+ paint pouring workshop where you make your own abstract canvas in an hour or two, no kids allowed.
This one's for the adults only, strictly 18+, so leave the kids with someone else and book yourself in for a paint pouring session. You get step by step guidance through acrylic pouring, tipping and swirling paint across a canvas until you've got an abstract piece that's entirely yours. Sessions run to five people, so it stays hands on rather than a lecture.
A session takes one to two hours, and prices sit around £40 to £45 depending on the date, sometimes with a discount if you catch the right one. That's a proper night out or treat-yourself afternoon rather than a casual pop-in, but the price includes your materials and, if you're under the postage threshold, your postage too if you're having supplies sent rather than taking your finished piece home there and then.
One thing to know before you go: your canvas will not be touch dry for 48 to 72 hours. Plan how you're getting it home, especially if you've come by public transport. Food and drink aren't allowed in the work areas either, so eat before or after, not during.
Opening hours are limited, Tuesday to Thursday 10 to 5 and Friday to Saturday 10 to 2, closed Sunday and Monday, and they close early or shut entirely around some holidays. Spaces are limited and advance booking is strongly recommended, so this isn't one to leave until the day.
