What it’s like
A miniature role-play town indoors, with a police station, vet, beauty salon and café for under-sevens to run.
This is a little town built for small people: a police station, a house, a vet, a doctors surgery, a beauty salon, a shop and a café, all sized for the under-sevens who get to be in charge of them. There's a child-size road with working traffic lights and signs for the toy cars, a train table for building tracks, and a construction area with bricks and tools if the role play doesn't grab them straight away. It's the sort of set-up where a four-year-old could happily spend the whole 90 minutes being the vet, then the shopkeeper, then back to the vet again.
Sessions are timed and bookable, 90 minutes each, three a day Monday to Saturday and two on Sundays. £6.50 gets a child in plus up to two adults, which is a decent deal once you count everyone through the door, and pre-walkers go for £3.50 with their own baby area and a calm reading corner away from the road traffic. Booking's non-refundable and you can't amend within 24 hours of your slot, so it's worth being fairly sure of your plans before you pay.
There's a café on site doing toddler food, cakes, juice and snacks. With sessions capped at 20 children it never quite tips into chaos, though the dress-up area and the beauty salon corner tend to be where the queues form if you've got more than one child wanting a turn.
