What it’s like
Feed the animals, wander the nature walk and have a go on the mini golf, with no time limit on how long you stay.
This is a proper hands-on farm visit: feeding the animals is the main event, and there's a nature walk if you fancy stretching your legs beyond the pens. When the weather turns, the indoor play barn is the fallback, and there's an outdoor play area too for when the sun's out. Mini golf is the bit that tips a quick visit into an afternoon, especially if you've got a competitive streak in the family.
Admission is £4.50 for anyone aged 3 and up, which stings a bit given adults pay the same rate as the kids. Two-year-olds get in for £2.50, and there's no charge mentioned for babies under that. Tickets last all day, so if the little ones flag after an hour you can head off for lunch and come back for the goats later.
You don't need to book ahead, which is one less thing to organise on a Saturday morning. They take cash and card on site. There's a café if you'd rather not pack a full picnic, and toilets are on site too.
The farm only opens between Easter and the October half term, running through weekends and the summer holidays, so this isn't a year-round outing. Hours can shift week to week, so it's the sort of place where a quick look at their social media before you leave saves a wasted trip. One thing to know if your dog usually comes everywhere with you: dogs aren't allowed here, since some of the animals are genuinely spooked by them.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
£4.50 for anyone aged 3 and over, including adults. Two-year-olds are £2.50, and it seems babies aren't charged.
Do we need to book?
No, you can just turn up. Booking used to be required but that's been dropped.
How long can we stay?
Tickets are valid all day, so there's no clock ticking once you're in. Handy if the kids need a long lunch break before round two of the animals.
Is there anywhere to eat?
There's a café on site if you don't fancy bringing a picnic.
Can we bring the dog?
Dogs aren't allowed on site. Some of the animals are properly scared of them.
Is the farm open all year?
It runs from Easter through to the October half term, with weekend and holiday opening in between.
What about birthday parties?
They do parties for kids of any age, with a guided animal walk, feeding and petting, a birthday picnic box, and free entry into the park thrown in.
