What it’s like

A lake-side aqua park with obstacles, slides and paddleboards, running from June to September for swimmers aged 6 and up.

The main event here is the floating aqua park, a course of obstacles, slides and challenges out on the lake, plus paddleboarding, pedalos and kids' paddle boats for those who want a calmer trip round the water. There's a beach too, with soft white sand, though you'll need a separate Beach Pass to use it even if you've already booked an activity, which feels like an odd extra hoop given you're already through the gate.

Everyone taking part in the aqua park needs to be able to swim, and paddleboarding is stricter still: over 12s only, and they need to manage 25 metres unaided with a parent signing a waiver first. That rules out a toddler day trip, but for a confident nine or ten-year-old who fancies a proper physical challenge, this is the sort of thing they'll be talking about for weeks.

Sessions have to be booked online in advance, and they want you there half an hour before your slot so you don't hold up reception. It's closed on Tuesdays, and everything is weather-dependent, so a windy or stormy day could see things cancelled at short notice. Food comes from the on-site Bar & Grill, Beach Bar or Snack Shack only, as outside food and picnics aren't allowed, which is worth factoring into the cost of a visit alongside wetsuit hire and aqua shoes if you haven't got your own.

Parking is free across two large car parks with security checks on arrival, and there's a disabled parking area plus accessible toilets and baby changing on site. Birthday parties run on the water activities themselves rather than a hall and cake table, with food included in the price and a 50-minute session, so it suits a child who'd rather spend their birthday getting soaked than playing pass the parcel.

Plan your visit

How much does it cost?

A Kids Aqua Park Party is £25 a child and a Kids Paddleboard Party is £30 a child, both needing at least six children booked in. Wetsuit hire is £5, aqua shoes £7 to buy, and grippy socks £3.

Do we need to book in advance?

You can't just turn up on the day, every session has to be booked online first. They also want you there 30 minutes before your slot.

What age does my child need to be?

Six is the minimum age and everyone on the aqua park needs to be able to swim. Paddleboarding is stricter, over 12s only, and they need to swim 25 metres unaided with a signed waiver.

Can toddlers or non-swimmers take part?

Not really, swimming ability is required for the aqua park and paddleboarding has its own age and swimming rules on top of that.

What are the opening hours?

10:30am to 5pm, six days a week. It is closed on Tuesdays.

Can we bring a picnic?

No, outside food and drink is not permitted anywhere on site. Food comes from the Bar & Grill, Beach Bar or Snack Shack instead.

Is parking free?

There are two large car parks and both are free, with a security check when you arrive.

What happens if it is windy or rainy?

Sessions are subject to cancellation in strong winds or thunderstorms. It is worth having a backup plan for the day if the weather looks unsettled.

Can I use the beach if I have booked another activity?

You need a separate Beach Pass for the beach even if you have already booked something else like the aqua park or paddleboarding.

Do you do birthday parties?

There are Kids Aqua Park and Kids Paddleboard party packages, both including food and a 50-minute session. You bring your own cake and decorations with a signed disclaimer.

Is the watersports season running all year?

It runs from June to September and the current season is closed until it reopens in May 2027.

What if I need to change or cancel a booking?

They ask for 48 hours' notice to move a booking or get a refund.
