What it’s like
Outdoor karting on a 470m track with 270cc karts that'll hit 50mph, strictly for the 16 plus crowd.
This one's for the older teens, not a family activity in the usual sense. You need to be 16 to get behind the wheel, so it's a proper birthday treat for a sixth-former or a first go at something that feels genuinely fast, rather than a day out with younger kids in tow.
The track itself is 470 metres outdoors, and the karts are 270cc machines that'll do up to 50mph, which is a fair bit quicker than the average go-kart session. Every kart's fitted with a computer lap timer.
Three options to pick from. The GP Experience is 20 minutes and comes in at £35.99, which feels steep for the time but that's outdoor karting at this speed for you. If they want more track time there's the Mini Grand Prix at £52.99 or the Mega Grand Prix at £57.99, both a proper step up in price but presumably more laps and more racing to show for it.
Parking's free on site, and there's food and toilets there too.
