What it’s like
Jungle-themed soft play in Barry with a separate baby zone, food ordered straight to your table, and adults get in free.
Climbing and crawling is the whole point here, with jungle-inspired play zones for the bigger ones and a fenced Jungle Baby area for the under-twos who'd otherwise get flattened. It suits ages one to eight roughly, with the older end of that range getting more out of the climbing bits than a one-year-old will.
Sessions run 90 minutes, though the site is upfront that they only enforce this when it's busy, so a quiet Wednesday morning might stretch on longer than a rammed Saturday. Off-peak (Wednesday to Friday) it's £6 a child and £3 for a toddler, weekends push that to £7 and £4. Adults go in free, which is one less thing to budget for, and the only sting is it's card only, so leave the coin jar at home.
Food comes from the Goodsheds food court next door, ordered to your table by scanning a QR code, so you are not stuck eating stale soft play chips while the kids play. The catch is you can't bring your own food or drink in, which is fair enough given there's a whole food court on site, but worth knowing if you were planning a packed lunch. Socks are compulsory for kids and adults alike, so pack a spare pair.
Parking is free behind the Pumphouse building, and there is wheelchair and pushchair access with ramps across the site. Weekends and school holidays get properly busy, so if you can do a weekday visit, the off-peak price and the quieter floor make it the better bet.
