What it’s like
Guided paint sessions where every step's talked through, no experience needed and no judgement either.
You turn up, sit down, and Jenna talks you through a painting step by step until you've got something you're genuinely pleased with. It's aimed at complete beginners, so nobody's expected to know one end of a brush from the other, and that goes for kids' sessions and adult ones alike. Canvases, brushes and paint are all provided, so you don't need to bring a thing unless you fancy your own snacks.
Kids' classes come with a drink and a snack thrown in, which is a nice touch when a session runs up to two and a half hours depending on the theme. That's a decent stretch for a paint class, and it means there's time to actually finish the piece rather than rushing the last bit. Jenna's DBS checked and has taught in a primary school for years, which is worth knowing if you're booking a children's party rather than just an adult night out.
Birthday parties and group bookings are both on offer, and Jenna will travel to you too, free within 10 miles of Southampton with a small fee beyond that. The one thing to watch is the cancellation policy: tickets aren't refundable, and you need to give 48 hours notice if you want to move your session to another date. Worth remembering before you commit to a slot, especially with a houseful of kids whose plans can change on a whim.
