What it’s like
Weekly screen acting classes and private one-to-one coaching for kids aged 5 and up, from £15 a session.
This one's about screen acting rather than stage drama, so if your child's watched a bit too much telly and fancied a go themselves, this is the more direct route in. Classes cover screen acting technique, and there's the option of one-to-one private sessions if group work isn't the right fit for your kid, or if they want more focused attention on a specific skill.
The group weekly class is £15, which sits at the reasonable end for this sort of thing, and is the obvious place to start before committing to anything pricier. The private one-to-one sessions run 60 minutes and cost £33.50, booked through a subscription plan rather than a one-off payment, which is worth knowing before you sign up since it's not quite the same as just booking a single lesson.
It suits kids from age 5 up, so there's plenty of room for a shy seven-year-old alongside a more confident eleven-year-old who's decided they want to be on the telly. The private sessions are the ones to save for later, once you know your child actually wants to stick with it rather than trying it once and losing interest.
